London-based Dexter Dymoke specialises in presenting recognisable objects in unusual situations, and in May 2008 his piece 'Ambush' appeared at the far end of the Ridding Wood trail. It turned a tree into a giant catapult and was impossible to miss for the short time it was there. It was sited at the same time as Rebecca Johnson's 'Second In A Series Of Attempts', and the pair were the only sculptures to grace Grizedale in 2008.
