The Chariot
David Kemp 1980
It would seem this metal sculpture by David Kemp was on display in the Visitor Centre area for an unspecified period of time in the early eighties. In the book 'Open Air Sculpture in Britain', W. J. Strachan writes:
"Made from old wheels, argicultural machinery. It was exhibited for a time in Grizedale Forest where the sculptor became a sculptor-in-residence in 1982."
From this, it sounds as though 'The Chariot' was on show at some point between 1982 and 1984.
