Second In A Series Of Attempts
Rebecca Johnson 2008
This and Dexter Dymoke's 'Ambush' were only around for a few months. The two works were installed as part of the 'HUNT' exhibition on the Ridding Wood Trail, which was designed with the aim of getting families to hunt for sculptures in the treetops
'Second In A Series Of Attempts' was an ingeniously strange sculpture - a series of birds' nests which had been 'parachuted' in and were now hanging from their harnesses in the canopy. I can't remember how many there were exactly, two or three perhaps. They appeared in early summer 2008 and were gone by Christmas, if not before.
