David Evison 1980
The third of David Evison's mind-bending abstract structures was much like his others, and was located among a clump of sculptures that once existed halfway down the western side of the forest. Evison learned a lot from his time working in the forest, as he said at the time:
"I think Grizedale taught me more about the business of placing sculptures in open spaces, and what makes a sculpture work in one place and not another, than any previous experience. Particularly as the sculptures I was making were not large and had to stand on their own in a very formidable and beautiful environment."
