Long before the 'Adventure Playground' was a mere glint in Andy Frost's eye, Ken Turnell's 'Forest Flight' could be found in the same spot, just by the visitor centre. It's hard to tell from the photograph just how big the sculpture was (I never saw it myself; it was gone before I was born) but it was likely a similar size to Turnell's other piece, 'Beech Watch'.
