Jony Easterby's 'Marimba' was a direct replacement for Will Menter's 'Rabbit Hole Marimba', which by the end of the nineties was looking a little worse for wear, after years of being enthusiastically bashed by children of varying ages and musical ability.

 

Easterby's 1999 version was a more sturdy model, although it perhaps lacked some of the knockabout charm of Menter's original. Sadly, Marimba 2.0 is now also no longer with us, having been removed a few years back.
