Tunnel Vision

Jim Partridge and Liz Walsmley 1992

The little-known 'Tunnel Vision' marked the return of the partnership of Jim Partridge and Liz Walsmley to Grizedale. A more impressive work than the picture suggests, this was created by cutting a patch of branches from a series of trees about halfway up, making a square tunnel all the way to the back, resulting in that window of sorts you can see in the picture there. The work was much more noticeable in summer when the trees had leaves on. Located up the path from Sally Mathews' 'Wild Boar Clearing', 'Tunnel Vision' was removed whenever that group of trees was felled.
