'Oak Wave Seat' was situated on the Millwood Trail, and has since been replaced by another seat. It was a textbook example of the kind of seat Nigel Ross is known for - a wavy length of sculpted wood atop another similarly carved piece of timber. On his website, Ross explains how fond memories of his younger days resulting in him making sculpture in the open air:

"As a child, living in rural Hertfordshire I was happiest running wild in the surrounding woodlands... The love of the outdoors led me to working in various forestry-related employment."
