Not to be confused with Nigel Lloyd's 1983 piece 'For The Birds', this was a multi-part sculpture located at the small tarn next to Grizedale Tarn (they are very nearly the same body of water; a small stream links them) and was intended to benefit the local wildlife.
Thanks to Amelia Harvey for sending me the above photograph, which shows the main part of the work - the only photo I've got is of the birdhouse on the far side of the tarn, which was all that was left by the time I saw it - the remainder of the sculpture had gone by then.
