In 2005 Steve Blaylock added three excellent sculptures to the Ridding Wood Trail, consisting of five metallic animals in total. They were of a distinctive style, rendered in gleaming metal, and even someone with no prior knowledge would know they were all by the same artist.

The 'Crow' sat on top of a decapitated tree just before the clearing at the far end of the trail, and it remained there until sometime around the end of the decade.
