'Portrait of Sculptures and Places III' was made up of four long logs, propped up by four separate rocks and meeting at a single point on the ground. They were held in position by a big stone slab. The piece sat in the same quarry-like area occupied by 'Portrait of Sculptures and Places II'.
Eric Geddes has a particular style when it comes to his sculpture, using traditional methods of securing his works in place, rather than drilling holes and hammering-in nails. As a result, most of his pieces are very temporary and since his sculptures were built in 1982 I never got to see them, sadly.
