The Living Wood

Antony Holloway 1991

'The Living Wood' by Antony Holloway sits on the Silurian Way halfway down the western side of the forest. You'd be extremely hard-pressed to miss this charming piece, as it sits directly in the middle of the path, requiring the walker to stroll right under it. Built in 1991 and looking much the same now as it did then, this a popular sculpture, with its carvings of bugs and a giant flower at the top.
