Standing Branch

David Nash 1978

This was an attempt by David Nash to take a piece of windblown coppice oak (from the same batch which his sculptures 'Running Table' and 'Horned Tripod' were made from) and stand it upright. Like 'Fork Ladder', my only knowledge of the piece comes from a sketch in the book 'A Sense Of Place: Sculpture In Landscape' by Peter Davies and Tony Knipe.
